Fine Art Museum-Quality Canvases

Archival Museum-Quality Canvases

Here's the process: we take an image [we use the finest scannable materials avaliable: sometimes, these are transparancies, sometimes reflective art] into photoshop at a very high resolution [normally 1600 dpi], and 'clean it up'; we repair the age damage, discolouration due to time and exposure, and other material damages to the subject; often, in classics in particular, there have been tears, spots, or cracks. We repair those that materially detract from the image and it's impact. We NEVER crop or materially modify an artistic work, however.

Then, we print the corrected image at 600 dpi [instead of the more usual 100-300 that most of the 'smaller' art canvases that you see offered at auction]. PLEASE NOTE: our work IS NOT from the 'home printers' that many of the 'fine art prints' offered at auction are. Many of these lower-quality pieces are printed on home printers, with ink meant for paper, not canvas; it fades quickly, and the fidelity is generally very poor. . .

PLEASE DO NOT CONFUSE OUR HIGH-QUALITY CANVASES WITH THESE AMATUER PIECES!!!

In contrast, we use the finest, state-of-the art Encad Professional printers, along with the finest inks; due to the quality of our canvas and ink, and the triple-coatings we give all our pieces, our paintings are highly UV resistant, and will not fade under normal circumstances; naturally, NO picture, oil or reproduction, should be subjected to either direct sunlight or moisture. Both will compromise a picture over time, regardless of the medium. After printing and drying, the canvas is coated three times with our specially-formulated lacquer that provides the highest UV protection avaliable. After the lacquer has dried, brushstrokes are added by hand by our artists: all of our artists are professionals, and they match the strokes to fit the subject, so that the end product is as close to the original artists' work as possible. The brushstrokes are quite apparent, and add the 'depth of field' and texture that one would expect from a painting.
